He has a broad understanding of the drivers behind competition and regulatory intervention, both in Norway and abroad. Odd’s assistance includes strategic regulatory matters (offshore wind & energy, life sciences, companies with socio-strategic targets), ESG/Compliance & Sanctions, as well as EEA/market access and competition law matters, i.e. assistance related to dawn raids and cartel investigations, corporate investigations, market abuse, state aid, competition law court proceedings (damages actions) and merger control related to mergers and acquisitions.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, Vinmonopolet, Höegh Autoliners, Glava, Saint-Gobain, Avinor, Moelven Industrier, the regional health authorities, Johnson & Johnson, Haleon, Norrøna and Infinitum are some of the key players that Odd has assisted with legal-strategic advice in recent years.
Odd has assisted in several of the largest EEA and competition cases in recent years, and has in-depth knowledge of the EU, EEA and Norwegian processes as relevant for inducing changes in regulatory conditions. Odd has more than 20 years of contentious work experience before national supervisory and appeal bodies, Norwegian courts, the EFTA Surveillance Authority and the EU/EFTA Courts.
Odd is ranked as a „go-to-guy“ in several lawyer rankings such as Chambers, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and the business magazine Kapital’s national lawyer survey. Odd is appointed by the Norwegian Competition Authority as a Non-Governmental Advisor to the ICN (the International Competition Network).
