BKW beteiligt sich am Fosen Windpark
We assisted the Swiss energy company BKW with its investment in the Fosen Wind project. The project includes the wind farms Harbaksfjellet, Roan, Storheia, Kvenndalsfjellet, Geitfjellet and Hitra 2. Fosen Wind will be Europe’s largest onshore wind power facility, with an installed capacity of 1,000 MW and an annual production of 3,400 GWh.
BKW is an international energy and infrastructure group with about 6,000 employees. BKW designs, builds and operates energy and utilities infrastructure for businesses, individuals and the public sector.
BKW participates in Fosen Wind via a partnership with Credit Suisse Infrastructure Partners, which will itself be operating in a joint venture with Statkraft and Trønderenergi. The four partners will together be responsible for one of the largest industrial projects in mainland Norway. In aggregate, the six wind power projects are larger than Norway’s entire current wind power capacity.
