The railway reform: Quality assurance in relation to EEA law
The Norwegian Government has decided on a gradual liberalisation of the Norwegian railway market for passenger transport. This is the largest ongoing liberalisation process in Norway. We are assisting Flytoget AS, a potential operator, in this regard. We are also assisting the newly incorporated state-owned enterprise Entur AS, which has been charged with ensuring integrated ticketing solutions and the establishment of a national travel planner. Grette’s advice is primarily related to quality assurance of various sub-projects in relation to the competition legislation, EEA law (the market pillar of the Fourth Railway Package) and EEA state aid rules.
Grette assists public and private sector clients with internal quality assurance in market liberalisation cases. We also assist companies that experience restrictions on their market access, in complaint matters before the ESA or otherwise. In addition, we assist with notification cases under state aid law.
