Energy
These are areas that have grown significantly in recent years, but in which the potential for further growth can still be said to be formidable. It is almost enshrined in the international agenda that the solution to continued sustainable development must lie here. Although this initially concerns two different areas they merge with each other in many ways. A great number of Norwegian companies are involved here and several of these may be regarded as frontrunners in an international context. Even companies working in entirely different areas encounter problems related to these sectors, for example in the form of requirements to purchase climate quotas, the need to adhere to new, more stringent emission limits, etc.
Over time Grette’s lawyers have built up significant expertise in the legal areas linked to these fields, and help Norwegian and foreign companies - large and small - with issues involving environmental and energy law such as the adaptation of framework conditions, strategy and finance, R&D contracts, protection of IP rights, industrial pollution, etc.
